First off, I would like to say that I am sorry for taking a long time to write the speech as I don’t usually do such a thing, this is my first.

To the Sec 3s as a whole, you were the second batch of people in CO that approached me readily and even though I always like give you’re the cold shoulders, yet you all still continued to treat me as a good friend and senior.

Yong Yao, you are the first person I chose to write as I feel that I am the most indebted to you. Thanks for being such a good QM, it’s not just about ‘ban yi zi’, it’s about learning to adapt to situations when the circumstances calls for it. I feel bad for always scolding you and so I will like to talk this chance to apologize to you, now that I look back, I feel that I have been too harsh on you and yes, I will take your advice and TRY my BEST to be less sarcastic, if just to you.

Jun Hong, you are the person I always tease the most in CO due to apparent reasons, and I hope that you don’t take it to heart. You were always there to tease me and vice-versa and I always had fun playing with you. But I feel that you need to know when to get serious, it’s not that I want to be harsh on you, it’s just that I have a short temper, especially when there is a performance. But anyways, it was fun knowing you and I hope that we will remain as good friends despite everything.

Libin, horny kia, until now I still remember the things that we said on the walk to Lot 1, but then again, life is always unfair to us just like now, why must we part? But all I can say now to you is that I hope that whatever you do, just follow your heart. On another note, I can see that you have improved significantly, and I feel happy for you as I used to get frustrated teaching you last time on how to get the beat right, but now, I think that it is time to pass on and it’s time for you to coach your juniors now.

Kheng Yuan, amongst the 4 boys in CO, you are the one that I talk the least to, but I can feel that you seem to be a very passive person –I don’t know if that’s true- and therefore you should take the initiative in everything you do. Well, I don’t know what to say to you anymore, but just have fun in CO.

Felicia, firstly I want to congratulate you on a job well done as a AIC, no matter what other people think, I think that you have done a very great job. By the way, I am NOT EMO, ok, I just like to take a step back and observe things. Anyways, be happy as I know that you are one of that people that can never fail to cheer me up even when they say I am emo thanks to the things you do.

Huijing, yo, retard, been a long time since I called you that man. I remember that we were always bickering over stupid stuff ever since you stepped into CO. Now that I think of it, all of the stupid stuff you done never fails to remind me why I call you retard in the first place. But now that SYF is over, you should place greater priority on your EOY, then CO night, if you think that you need academic help, you can always come to me, even though I am no better than you.

Yat Yan, hmm, every time I see you, I think of pokey! Why must you always tempt me with food, especially during hezhou! You also another one, always in CO hyper, seeing you is like meeting a typhoon, because you will always go crazy over the slightest things and laugh like nobody’s business. Anyways, be happy as I know that you are one of that people that can never fail to cheer me up even when they say I am emo thanks to the things you do.

Mei Yu, thanks for constantly reminding me everywhere that I have a good beat! Also, I have to thank you every time for graciously lending your almighty ‘Tuner and the Chord’ to me almost every time during hezhou. And you are also another tiko, every time thinking about Rasputin’s *coughes*, you should not think about that too much, you know it’s not good for health.

Yu Han, the quiet girl in the section, I know it’s very wrong as you are not a quiet girl at all as I have personally witnessed, but most of the time I don’t talk to you and you are always sitting in a corner brushing up on your erhu skills or just staring into blank space, even though you are now well-acquainted with the rest of the girls now, I still hope to be able to talk to you more in future.

Qian Hui, the librarian right? I don’t know much about you as you have been missing in action for hezhou for most of the time, but I remember last year that you actually came for hezhou once but you didn’t manage to catch up with what we were playing and I went to coach you. You seemed very nervous and tense up, compared to now, I believe that you are more relaxed and suitable for your job now, don’t feel that I am belittling you, but every job is important, if not CO will not function properly.

Mandy, I always mistake you and mei yu for reasons unknown to me, but now I have managed to get the two of you right and even though you were also missing half the time, you are still an invaluable asset to CO, without you, I think that our juniors will probably run wild when the seniors are gone. Without you, erhu is probably not what it is today.

Jessica, I am not a knowledgeable man like you said I was on Wednesday. I just have a different view from everyone on that particular matter. But you too were someone that erhu and CO I think couldn’t do without. If not for you, I might have probably died of thirst on SYF, so a big thank you for carrying that super heavy big filled with XX number of water bottles!

Now, having said so many things, I don’t know how many of you will read it all, but I just want to add something else. Learn to forgive and forget, during your next few months together, there will definitely be periods where tensions between you and the big guys of CO flare up. But I just want to say that they may scold you, but not without a reason, we are all one big family and scolding you is like stabbing a knife into their own back, it hurts them as much as it hurts you. Ok, I said a lot already, hope that all that I said is actually useful and if it is, you will use it in the future.

Definitely, we are extremely unhappy with today's results.

Certainly, we deserved more than just this.

You guys really did a splendid job today. Your senior said that she's very touched by what you all played and my other friend said that you all managed to play out the feeling in FNJ.

Over the past few months, most of you have put in lots of efforts into this, and I believe anyone who have seen you all through all these while will be able to see that.

The results today may be an understatement of our abilities, but it's time to move on and get ready to show everyone what we are really made of in 2011.

To the Sec 4s: Today is probably the last performance that I could come with you all, since most likely I wouldn't be able to join you all for showcase. I guess you all are the only batch of people who I really watched you all grow up since Sec 1. I still remember when I first saw you all, you all are so quiet and shy, and I could still remember the first practice we had on Jun Ma. I still remember the first performance you all had at VCH. I remember the first SYF you all had. I remembered the endless Mac-ing sessions while I was teaching last year. Throughout these years, I guess one of the reasons I like to keep on coming back is because I really loved the enthusiasm of you people. I'm not too sure how often will I get to see you guys anymore after today, but certainly I will miss all the memories I had with you all. =) And ya, please please please come back and help out in CO whenever you can after you graduated, ok? There are always things that need help everytime. Or at least you can come talk to me while I'm trying to hide myself from Felicia whenever I come back. =)

To the rest of the juniors: Now it's your turn to bring back what we should deserve. You have seen how much your seniors really wanted the gold back. Work hard, practise hard and listen to your dear instructors, they are the ones who can give you the best advice on how you should play. Please please please jia you!
